Category 16: Complete Piano Concerto - No Age Limit
This event is for the exceptionally gifted
Any complete concerto from the standard piano repertoire may be used.
To promote broader repertory knowledge, contestants who have won medal(s) in this event in the past years are not allowed to enter the same complete concerto they have won before.
Performance of the entire concerto must be from memory.

Accompanist: USOMC will assign an Official Accompanist for this event as well as for the Prizewinners Concerts. The accompanist will not be judged. Piano teachers are not allowed to accompany their own students.

The Entry fee covers the Accompanist fee which include one rehearsal plus accompaniment at the competition. Separate fee is required for the Prizewinners' Concerts - which will be for the First Place winner only.
Contestants must upload the first 3 pages of each movement at the time of their online application.

Please time each movement accurately and fill them out clearly at registration.
Please carefully review the Competition Rules #5 and #6 under the COMPETITION RULES tab! The complete Concerto may be longer than 30 minutes, but each contestant is given a maximum time of 25 minutes for the competition.
The judges may hear portions or the entire Concerto as they see fit. This does not reflect negatively on the performers.

Contestants must bring a copy of their music for the judges at the competition. Without proper music, the contestant will be disqualified.

Please Note: It is the contestants’ responsibility to show up at the competition site on time.

The 1st Place Winner is allowed a maximum of 12 minutes for the performance at the Prizewinners' Concert. Please make sensible cuts to fit the given time. The Official Accompanist will be available to play at the Prizewinners’ Concert for an additional fee.
