Category 24: Newly Added - Special Showcase Solo - No Age Limit
This year USOMC has launched this new event for disabled musicians only.
There is no age limit.
Any instrument will be acceptable.
Contestants will play one piece of their own choice from any original / unabridged composition (Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Contemporary periods).
Maximum time is eight (8) minutes.
The contestant must provide proof of disability - any kind of legal physical or mental disability will be acceptable.
The First Place Winner will perform at one of the Prizewinners' Concerts and will receive a gold medal plus cash awards. The Second, Third and Fourth place winners will receive silver, bronze and crystal medals at the same Prizewinners' Concert.
Memorization is required.
Time the piece accurately and mark them clearly on the entry form.
This event will only be offered if there are sufficient entries.
