Category 18: Showcase Sight-Reading Duet
There are Five Different Age Groups in this Category.
All Contestants will play "by sight" one short piece according to their levels.
All Contestants will have 5 minutes to look over the music (without the piano) before their turn to play.
Contestants may enter more than one level but only once at each level with partner(s) from the proper age group. The older partner determines the age group.
Contestants may count audibly at the competition.
Note that every contestant will have to pay a one-time application fee. However, only one of the contestants will need to register and pay for the event. The other contestants will be added by USOMC. Make sure to enter the other contestant's login email address. Indicate who is the Primo player.
Contestants of this category must report to the information booth 15 minutes before the competition time.
PREPARATORY LEVEL:
Ages 9 and Under
ELEMENTARY LEVEL:
Ages 10 - 11
[the second contestant may be younger]
JUNIOR LEVEL:
Ages 12 - 13
[the second contestant may be younger]
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:
Ages 14 - 15
[the second contestant may be younger]
SENIOR LEVEL:
One contestant must be at least 16 years old
